Shaping Thoughts and Life by Writing

I’ve just started blogging, you could say. Before, due to working at sea, I had tried to write blogs for short, disconnected periods. In this post, I will talk about the situation I noticed when I started blogging regularly.
While blogging, I witnessed the irregular flow of my thoughts and realized that as I continued, I started writing better. Furthermore, it didn’t take me long to realize that my thoughts were becoming clearer day by day. After this awareness, questions like “Can we guide our thoughts in the direction we want by writing? Can we reorganize life this way?” came to my mind.
Thoughts in the Mind
Most of the time, we get stuck in some thought patterns shaped by the influence of the environment and generally want the same things (good salary, beautiful house(s), a peaceful and comfortable life, etc.) without knowing or researching the real thing we need. I even think of this as a source of psychological problems for today’s people. Because we must not ignore that a lifestyle based only on making money in a life we build by ignoring our talent and personality can cause great costs, contrary to what is thought.
A teacher of ours told us that texts concerning society are used in paragraph questions in exams entered especially by young people, such as the university entrance exam. These texts contain positive propositions. Because these texts, read under high concentration, are assumed to have a positive impact on society by taking place in the subconscious. The application logic, which I think is based on academic research, seems reasonable.
Thought Changing Application
Without changing the flow of thoughts, write down everything that comes to your mind about a subject as it is. Then, re-edit this text as what you want to be (rich, happy, proud, fun, sad, etc.). You will be very surprised at how the sentences change and how they reflect your mood. The key here is to be the person you really want to be while editing the text and to let yourself go. When writing, there is only you, paper, and pen. Forget everything else. You can see that this process becomes a therapy rather than just correcting your thoughts. We know that keeping a journal is good for some people with psychological disorders. A method similar to keeping a journal is used with the method I explained, but beyond observing oneself, it is trying to shape life.
In Conclusion
Experience is not about what happens to you in life. It is about our reactions. The technique of correcting thoughts by writing can be thought of as a tool to intervene from a different dimension to our reactions (physical, mental, emotional reactions) to the events we encounter. If we change our thoughts, it is an indisputable fact that our lives will change.
